Wow, the journey of growth and purpose we've embarked upon is nothing short of incredible! Our story with Mary's Home began in 2016, and the seeds of our Fall Festival were sown just four years ago. It all started with the simple desire to share the beauty of Stacy's Spanish stallion, Cam, with her students. Little did we know that the Lord would use this humble beginning to blossom into a movement of compassion, generosity, and boundless community spirit.
In the first year, So many of her students wanted to come see her beautiful Spanish stallion, Cam. She couldn’t remember who all had asked so she just invited all of her students. Would you believe that 275 individuals graced our event? We decided to contribute the $500 profit to Mary’s Home . Year by year, our intentionality and commitment deepened as the Lord increased our vision. We set our sights higher, and with each passing year, our impact grew exponentially. From a heartfelt donation of $1,000 in the second year to an awe-inspiring $4,000 in the third, our trajectory of growth was undeniable.
This year's Victory Farms Fall Festival was a testament to the power of collective purpose. Our audacious goal of raising $5,000 to furnish an apartment for Mary's Home was not only achieved but surpassed with flying colors. In an extraordinary display of unity, we raised a staggering $10,000 through both generous donations and the event itself. The heartwarming truth is that our community, from as young as Kindergarten on up, didn't just come together; it doubled down on its commitment to uplift others within our own community.
The impact of our collective efforts reaches far beyond the numbers. It's about changing lives and creating opportunities for growth. The dedication and hard work of the moms and kids at Mary's Home mirror the resilience Stacy once summoned during a challenging chapter in her life. The Lord gave her strength, peace and wisdom and a support system that prevented her from being homeless. Now, it's our turn to be that support for others.
Reflecting on the numbers from this remarkable weekend, we hosted over 520 guests, collaborated with 18 vendors, and had an incredible number of volunteers who dedicated countless hours to make it all happen. Our event featured eight borrowed animals, including a charming assortment of bunnies. Cam, our Spanish stallion, became a symbol of connection, adorning 108 family portraits.
Stacy’s personal journey from adversity to triumph fuels her passion for this cause. She understands the struggle, and she believes in the transformative power of the Holy Spirit and community support. Mary's Home provides a three-year program that is not just intensive; it's a beacon of love, support, and commitment. It's a testament to what happens when moms and staff join hands to rewrite the narratives of their lives.
As we celebrate this year's success, let's remember that it's not just about the dollars raised or the numbers achieved; it's about the lives touched, the hope restored, and the futures reshaped. Our community has proven that when we come together with purpose, growth is inevitable. We are so proud of what we've accomplished, and we invite each of you to join us in continuing this journey of compassion, community, and transformative impact. Together, with the Lord’s guidance, we can create a ripple effect that extends far beyond our immediate reach. Let's make a difference, one heart at a time. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
With much love and many blessings,
Mark & Stacy Adams and our leadership team
Esther Lee, Anita Coughenour, Susan O’Brien and Christen Wilmarth
